Early morning autumn on the Midi Canal

A light swirl of mist covers the water of the straight stretch of canal between the lock and village of Argens Minervois. We had waited overnight below the lock for the morning opening and had the sensation of being all alone in the world, most people being still asleep, the Midi Canal is a wonderful place for an autumn break.
