This is the week that the annual "Fête de Saint-Aphrodise" takes place in Béziers. Saint-Aphrodise is the Patron Saint, who arrived from Egypt riding on a Camel - but had his Head "chopped off" in what is now known as the "Place St Cyr" - thrown down a well, but the waters rose up and returned his head - he then carried it back through the "cité" to the cave he was living in .......
