Canal du Midi - "Seuil de Naurouze" - Village of Montferrand
Looking North from the Obelisque in memory of Pierre Paul Riquet, across the rolling 'Lauragais' countryside you see the Village of Montferrand - here there are two more sites of historic interest. The oldest being the "Chappe House" -one the for-runners of communications connecting Toulouse down to the towns on the Mediterranean coast
