Canal du Midi - The River Orb Crossing - originally The Midi Canal descended down to cross the River Orb by a staircase of 9 Locks - this shows it's old entrance to the river. It is now very much overgrown and in a rather 'sorry' state ! In 1858 a new Aquaduct was built - starting out from the 7th Lock, which made it redundant
