Sommières, 2000 Years of History

The small town of Sommières - The "Vidourlades" the lower town where the streets were built in a regular patern to make it easier for them to drain when the River Vidourle overflowed. Sommières was the final home for the Writer Lawrence Durrell (The Alexandria Quartet) - He died at his house there in November 1990
