Autumn - Mirepoix

Each year at the end of October there is a Harvest Festival for the Apple Orchards that grow round this small town of Mirepoix, in the Ariège Departement of the South of France.

Garlends of Apples cross every street in the town centre and a theme is set (each year) for floats and models to be created which are displayed - while people enjoy the Festivities with their "pichet" of Cidre, dancing etc.
