The church of Fontjoncous in the Corbières

The history of this small village is rich. As part of the Visigothic empire the village maintained contacts when the Visigoths withdrew to establish their empire in Toledo (Spain); at the time having converted to Arian Christianity. The village still has strong connections with Toledo and in 2004 the Mayor and Deputy from Toledo came to the village to place a plaque at the source (the font) in the village.
