Béziers Archeology

This is a map which gives an idea what Béziers looked like up the the end of the Third Century.

My house is just within the walls (the red dot) - just above is a gray circle where a major Archaeological "Dig" is happening.now.

In the mid 19th.Century there was found a major collection of Roman Statuary, just to the left of the Forum, on the plan. - Busts of the Roman Emperor Augustus and his family, when he was in command of the Roman Garrison of Septimania
