On to another "Midi" Village near Béziers - Maureilhan
...... time for lunch, before we look at the Château
I have passed through Maureilhan many times during the last 15 years or so - never thought of stopping to eat here - big, big mistake !
.....but to backtrack, we went in through the door to be greeted by, what seemed to be the whole village having their Saturday 'apero' - the noise was deafening, turned round to leave, only to see the smiling face of the 'host' !
......n'inquiétez pas, allez avec moi ! - so we did, he opened a door at the back of the bar - there was the kitchen in full view ! But to the right was a typical, French Dining Room - so we stayed !!!!!
