Jean Moulin - 70 Years on !

Jean Moulin died 70 years ago after suffering a long period of Nazi torture.

He was the representative of General de Gaule, & the Free French, in Southern France - his task was to unify the varies factions of the resistance across France.

To cover his activities he set up an Art Gallery in Nice - the "Galerie Ronanin"

Most of the paintings from the Gallery were saved by his sister Laure, who bequeathed them to the Béziers Museum Service some years ago.

Among them this by Giorio de Chirico - Composition avec Autoportraite, 1926
