On a hill dominating the surrounding countryside - set up by the "Dominican Monks" during the "Cathar Crusade" of the 13th Century..
Seen from the other side - the town of Montréal nestles just below (French pronunciation is Mon-rey-al !!! - not like that town in Canada !!!!!)
