The Church of St Jacques, the oldest in Béziers - dating back to the 9th/10th Century - the earliest part being "Romanesque"

The Scallop Shell (Coquilles Saint-Jacques) is the symbol of Saint Jacques

The Church is on the most Southerly route of the Road to Compostella - the "Camino Romieu" is also the route followed by pilgrims heading from Rome and was a resting "étape"
