Midi Canal - Gailhousty Lock
As one travels down the Canal du Midi you come to the "Long Pound". About halfway along you reach the "Junction Canal" which leeds down to Sallèles-d'Aude, then on to the crossing of the River Aude to take you onto Narbonne. The crossing is known as "Gaihousty".
Then looking upriver to the Cable which was used to help the Horsedrawn Barges to cross the river.
