V.E. Day -2018
Every Victory in Europe Day, Béziers "sprouts" Patriotic wreaths in front of it's Statues & Monuments - this is the new statue of Joan of Arc (French: Jeanne d'Arc) by the Cathedral.
It is interesting to note the Blue & White Wreath, the colours of King Louis XVI. This was layed by the local "Royalist Association".
But, perhaps, it should be noted that it was King Louis that gave her up to the English Army, to be burnt at the stake !
