Côté Sud : une nympthe, symbolisant le MONTAGNE NOIR, verse l'eau d'une urne, alimentant la RIGOULE DE LA PLAINE. Cette eau ce divise ensuite en deux courant, symbolisant le PARTAGE DES EAUX du Canal. NEPTUNE veille sur le versant l'océanique. VENUS sur le versant méditerranéen. (Southern Face: a nympthe, symbolising the BLACK MOUNTAINS, pours water from an urne, supplying the RIGOULE DE LA PLAIN. This then divides into two, symbolising the DIVISION OF THE WATER of the Canal. NEPTUNE in the direction of the Ocean - VENUS to the Mediterranean).......
