LE GENIE LATIN

Composite image of two of the sides of the base of the sculpture by Béziers' Jean Magrou and architect Dusquesne, the inscription reads : "This monument to the 'Glory of the Latin Genie' was built by the 'Latin League for Interlectuelle Friendship', president Paul Adam with the combined help of the following : Argentine Republic, Belgium, Brasil, Chili, Colombia, Costa-Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Republic of Ecuador, Spain, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Roumania, Uraguay and Venezuela. It was inaugarated by Mr Alexandre Millerand, President of the French Republic on the 14 July 1921."
