The highest point of the Canal du Midi, 200 m above sea-level, is at the "Seuil de Naurouze", between Castelnaudary and Toulouse. Here you will find the Obelisque in memory of Pierre Paul Riquet - North Side "The Medallion & Arms of P.P.Riquet supported by Minerva, the Goddess of Wisdom and Mercury, the God of Commerce"
