Wandering around the wilds of the Corbières - up above Quintillan I took these photos - On the Col d'Amiel it is wild and remote - I thought these were Pine Processionary caterpillars but given the location they are probably the caterpillar of the Oak Processionary Moth. In any case it is best not to touch them as they can cause severe skin irritation and are very dangerous for pets, (the caterpillars' fine hairs get in the eyes of the animal and cause the animal to rub their eyes until blindness or madness occurs)
