St Felix Lauregais 16th Century centre for Woad - the blue dye - This area was a centre of dyer's woad production and grew wealthy from it. Nowadays most of the Lauregais is taken over with cereal production but there continues to be a small production (60 Hectares) of Woad for the University of Toulouse, the Chateau Musee de Pastel and a few local shops - like this one off the Town Square in St Felix.
