Canal du Midi - "Seuil de Naurouze" - Village of Montferrand
Looking North from the Obelisque in memory of Pierre Paul Riquet, across the rolling 'Lauragais' countryside you see the Village of Montferrand - here there are two more sites of historic interest. The later one is the aeronautic lighthouse built in 1929 by the Aéropostal Company - to guide the pilots on their way from Toulouse to Dakar & then on to South America
