Leaving the Pont du Gard one can travel along the old Roman Way, the Via Domitia, heading West..
Just after crossing into the Departmant of Hérault it has to cross the River Virdoule into Ambrussum - this is the last remaining arch of what many people concider to be the oldest Roman Bridge in the region
